Demo 25 New Features (Oh Finally!!! They are changing the pay)

A phone call ☎️from South Africa to UK..What is Demo 25? What are they changing?

Are you smiling now? Cause I am!

I’m reeeaaaady to make money and get those sign-ups!

Lets work together in making 25-min demos a permanent feature and bring pride back to Demos!

        Time to take notes

Still unsure about the 25-min demo classroom?

Don’t forget to fill out the form at the end of blog to finish training

1. Pre-level Assessment:  A pre-level assessment test that determines the student’s level will be taken first, the material at the correct level will be loaded in the classroom.  Easy!

2. Why are we using the Dynamic Material? Each level tells a story, we will continually add different topics such as boys and girls version, what’s your favorite level topic so far?

3. Parent Time: An extra slide added to each level ending part, this the perfect time to connect with the parents. Plus this page is in both Chinese and English, parents can understand it quickly. Simply use the interaction button to tick their achievements. Who doesn’t want to see kids be praised and make progress in the future?

For more information: you can see tips here too.

Keeping Mom and Dad Happy – What do parents look for during class?

4. New Demo reports: To help to make the after-session level report easier, we are here to introduce the in session-level report which determines student’s behavior, almost every teaching page has questions, please don’t skip teaching pages, be sure to click “Generate Report” at the end of all questions, last two pages of the material will show you all the remaining questions.

If you miss submitting questions during class make sure you finish “Class Performance Test” before you submit “Progress Report”

Practice Practice Practice

Top Tip’s for a Terrific 25-minute Demo

-Don’t forget to fill in the training form in the end-

1. Relax

The 25-minute demos are much more popular with the clients and it is in line with what other ESL companies offer.  The sign-ups have been great.  You also have time to really teach the client and engage with the parents at the end. It is a lot less stressful than three demos in an hour! So, relax and enjoy teaching.

2.DON’T SKIP PAGES

Pace yourself. It is ESSENTIAL that you teach every page of the demo material. Why? Because there are in-session report questions on each page, which auto

matically generates a highly personalised report.

  • Even the singing one. Let the student dance along or just listen to the music). This creates an atmosphere.

REMEMBER TO GENERATE THE REPORT ON THE LAST PAGE

3. PARENT TIME! (The last few minutes of the demo)

I love parent time. I find this closes the deal well as they get to meet their child’s teacher. It is a chance to celebrate their child’s achievements in the session with you. It is good to point out what the child needs to improve upon but do it in a positive manner. This is their precious baby you are talking about after all😊 Don’t forget time-management~ and be sure to save time for this part.

4. MAINTAIN YOUR ENERGY

There has been some good training on this recently. I make sure I have a supply of drinks and snacks always at hand, and make sure to allow yourself some breaks.

5. HAVE FUN!

A Demo should be a fun experience for both the child and yourself. If you are enjoying the session, the child is probably enjoying it too. And when that happens- you are laughing all the way to the bank.

❤️Special thanks to Teacher Michelle and Sophia❤️

Policies:

  •  Don’t forget to check-in (XX:02-XX:28) for the LVP 25 hour. Same like LVP 15.
  •  If your 25min Demo class is not scheduled yet but you have checked-in for the hour, please be prepared for classes scheduled and standby for whole hour. You might get last minute booking for starting session, wait at least 10 minutes for instant booking.
  • Please stay in the classroom for the whole 25 minutes to get paid, unless agents, or clients ask you to leave and fill incomplete
  • Enter the classroom three minutes before the class, you will be marked as no show if you are not in the classroom 1 minute before the class starts. If it is a last-minute booking. You have an extra three minutes to enter. You don’t need to worry about instant booking.

I am very excited for the in-session report and the parent page! Sometimes after a few back-to-back classes it takes time to remember all the student accomplished. This will allow for real-time, accurate accounts of the students abilities!

@Sophia Was this like a sort of invitation for doing 25 mins demos? It appeared on my Home Page as an advertisement. I clicked “Accept the challenge” and I was taken to this page and the mini quiz at the end. I have finished the materials for 25 minute demos in the training portal and I clicked “Accept this challenge” for this mini quiz. Will I be getting 25 minute demos from now on or how does it work? My average for OUP this month is so far 10 (don’t know if that is relevant info but I put it… Read more »

I am concerned the sign up rate bonus is lower than what I was earning before in the 15 min demos. 1 x 45 BR is lower. Does that change for everyone? Concerned. Thanks.

Girl, SAME! Like way lower..

It will definitely be way lower. Especially if your BR for reg 25 is low like mine.

I love how they’re like “We’re finally changing the pay!” in the title, yet say nothing about the new pay in this blog post. And they’re not even changing the pay to benefit the consultants (unless we’ve mistaken some details).

Paul Lobue
Consultant
Paul Lobue

The pay actually has the potential to benefit the CONSULTANT. Not only do you get the bonus for teaching the 25-minute demo, but if you get a sign-up, you also get that bonus.

Kristine
Consultant
Kristine

Same. This new pay structure seems to only benefit people who don’t get signups. My calculations show I will be losing up to $7/ hour doing them, based on my average SUR.

Ronan
Consultant
Ronan

Same here. It is only a little bit better if I get 2-25 demos in the same hour, but if I get only one (which I did today) I will be losing almost half my hourly pay. I wonder if we can opt-out if it does not work out better for me?

Clinton here :D:D:D

1. How do we know the parents are not assisting the juniors with the pre-level assessment?

2. Are we allowed to use basic Chinese for level 0’s and level 1’s to guide them?

3. Are the parents always present or absent?

4. I have been calling for the parents at the end of junior demos for the past few years, and it really benefits my sign-up rate! But what if the parents are not there? Do we close to the student only?

5. What are the agents’ roles on the 25 min demo?

Michelle Brindle
✨Contributor
Michelle Brindle

Hi Clinton,
Great questions. I found that the agents were really helpful when I was trialling parent time. They spoke to the students directly for me to go and get a parent/ relative for feedback. Only on one occasion was the teenager home alone , so I closed the demo as normal. The parents really loved the feature! I agree with you that speaking to the parents helps sign ups. I hope this helps:)

Hello! If you are not a demo teacher already this is what you need to do:
Do the training in 2.0 Demo training
book at consultant live training session for Demo’s
Then you will get mixture of 15 and 25min demos BUT as it becomes more and more Demo 25, from June 1st you will be assigned Demo 25 first.

I enjoy these videos when they work for me…
I seem to always have trouble listening to them. Anyone else? The audio either doesn’t play as it should, it lags behind or plays a bit, then has to load more, plays again then needs to load more.

I am worried about level 1 and level 2. The materials will be too short,3 animals and 4 colors. 🙁

Hi Irena, there’s lots of ways to make short sentences for each slide in level 1 and 2. Take a look at the training videos in the training portal as a first step:) I hope that helps.

They have extended the dynamic material for the LVP 25s. For example before you used to get three animals in level 1, but now you’ll get four. (dog, cat, bird and panda)

Hi Michelle!
How long does it take to get demo signups after completing everything? I have completed the demo 2.0, attended a live session for 1 hour, and I have filled out the quiz on this blog. It has been a couple days and I have not heard anything else. What am I missing and how do I do it? Thank you in advance for your help!
